The importance of behavior in a professional setting cannot be overemphasised. Beyond a certain point, behavior really comes to the fore and becomes the main focal point. In the initial stages of an employee’s stay in an organisation, attention is paid to the technical skills of the employee. But once an employee shows both promise and mastery in their job roles, close attention is paid to behaviour. Additional opportunities and leadership roles are offered to those who exhibit desirable behavioural attributes.  Behavior is more often than not the distinguishing factor.
